Creating your account
Visit mail.tobavamail.com and click Create one on the login page.
- Enter your full name — this appears as the sender name on your emails.
- Choose your email address — type a username and your address will be
[email protected]. You can also use a custom domain if you own one. - Create a strong password (minimum 6 characters; we recommend 12+ with mixed characters).
- Optionally add a recovery email — a backup address used to reset your password if you lose access.
- Select a plan: Free, Personal, or Business. Paid plans include a 15-day free trial.
- Complete the identity verification step (email code or authenticator).
Your username can contain letters (a–z), numbers (0–9), dots (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-). It must be 3–40 characters long.
Web access
Tobava Mail is fully accessible through any modern web browser — no installation needed.
- Navigate to mail.tobavamail.com
- Sign in with your email address and password
- If you have two-step verification enabled, enter your 6-digit authenticator code
The web app includes Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Chat, Notes, and Meeting — all in one place.
IMAP & SMTP settings
Use these settings to connect Tobava Mail to any standard email client (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.).

Always use your full email address (e.g.

Microsoft Outlook
- Open Outlook → File → Add Account
- Enter your Tobava Mail address and click Connect
- If auto-discovery fails, choose IMAP and enter the server settings above
- Enter your password and click Connect
Mozilla Thunderbird
- Open Thunderbird → Account Settings → Add Mail Account
- Enter your name, email address, and password
- Click Configure manually and enter the IMAP/SMTP settings above
- Click Re-test then Done
Apple Mail (macOS / iOS)
- Go to System Preferences → Internet Accounts → Add Other Account → Mail account
- Enter your name, email, and password
- If prompted for server details, use the settings in the table above
Android (Gmail app)
- Open Gmail → Settings → Add Account → Other
- Enter your Tobava Mail address and select Personal (IMAP)
- Enter your password and the IMAP/SMTP settings above
Using a custom domain
On the Personal or Business plan, you can send and receive email using your own domain (e.g. [email protected]).
- On the login/signup page, click the @tobava.com dropdown → Use custom domain…
- Type your domain name (without
www) - After account creation, go to Settings → Domains to configure DNS records
- Add the following DNS records at your domain registrar or Cloudflare:

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate worldwide, though most resolve within 15–30 minutes.
Mobile & desktop apps
Dedicated Tobava Mail apps for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS are coming soon. In the meantime:
- Mobile browsers — open mail.tobavamail.com in Safari or Chrome. Add to your home screen for an app-like experience.
- Third-party clients — use the IMAP/SMTP settings above with any email app.
Setting up a recovery email
A recovery email is a backup address where you can receive password reset instructions if you lose access to your account.
- During registration, enter it in the Recovery email field
- Or go to Settings → Password & Security → Recovery email after sign-in
Use a different provider for your recovery email (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) — if you lose access to Tobava Mail, you'll need it to be reachable from outside.
