Account FAQs

Can I change my email address?
Your primary email address ([email protected]) is permanent and cannot be changed. However, on Personal and Business plans you can add alias addresses or connect a custom domain. Aliases let you send and receive from multiple addresses while keeping one inbox.
Can I have multiple accounts?
Yes — you can sign up for multiple Tobava Mail accounts with different email addresses. On Business plans, a single account can have up to 25 email addresses. Use the account switcher in the top-right profile menu to switch between accounts without signing out.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the login page, click Forgot password? and enter your email address. If two-step verification is enabled, verify with your authenticator app. Otherwise, a reset token is generated on screen — use it to set a new password. If you have a recovery email set up, you can also request the token to be sent there.
How do I stay signed in?
Tobava Mail sessions last 60 minutes by default. Check Remember me on the login screen to extend the session. For security, sessions on shared or public computers should never use the remember option.

Email FAQs

Why is my email going to spam at other providers?
Delivery to Gmail, Outlook, and other providers depends on email authentication. Make sure your domain has correct SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records. Also, sender reputation builds over time — new email addresses may initially see higher spam rates. Avoid sending bulk or unsolicited email, which will damage your reputation.
Can I send email from a custom domain?
Yes — on the Personal plan (1 custom domain) or Business plan (up to 10 domains). After connecting your domain in Settings → Domains, all emails you send can show your custom domain as the sender address. See the Setup guide for DNS instructions.
How long are emails kept in Trash?
Emails in the Trash folder are automatically deleted after 30 days. To recover a message before then, go to Trash, open the message, and click Move to inbox or another folder. After 30 days the message is permanently gone.
Can I undo a sent email?
Once an email has been delivered, it cannot be recalled. However, you can enable a short send delay in Settings → Mail → Send delay (5, 10, or 30 seconds). During this window, a Undo button appears at the bottom of the screen before the message is actually sent.
What happens if a message bounces?
If the recipient's address doesn't exist or their mailbox is full, you'll receive an automated bounce notification (delivery failure) in your inbox explaining the reason. Check the address for typos and try again, or contact the recipient through another channel.

Storage FAQs

How do I check my storage usage?
Your storage usage is shown at the bottom of the sidebar as a progress bar with X.X / Y GB. For a detailed breakdown, go to Settings → Account.
What happens when I reach my storage limit?
When your mailbox is full, incoming emails will be rejected with a "mailbox full" bounce message to the sender. You will not lose any existing emails. Free up space by deleting large attachments, emptying Trash, or upgrading your plan.
How do I free up storage?
The fastest ways to free storage: (1) Search for messages with large attachments and delete them. (2) Empty Trash and Spam folders. (3) Archive or delete old newsletters and promotional emails. (4) Upgrade to a higher plan for more storage.

Delivery FAQs

How quickly are emails delivered?
Tobava Mail delivers outgoing emails immediately. Delivery time depends on the recipient's mail server — typically under 1 minute. Delays may occur during high-traffic periods or if the recipient's server is temporarily unavailable (in which case we retry for up to 72 hours).
I'm not receiving emails. What should I check?
  1. Check your Spam folder — the email may have been filtered
  2. Check your Filters in Settings — a rule may be moving or deleting messages
  3. Verify your storage isn't full
  4. Ask the sender to confirm they sent to the correct address
  5. If using a custom domain, verify your MX records are correctly configured
Does Tobava Mail support plus addressing?
Yes — you can use [email protected] addresses to filter email automatically. For example, [email protected] will deliver to your inbox. Create a filter on the To field containing +shopping to sort these automatically.
